What is home care?
Home care can be defined as care giving in the home setting. It is a non regimented, one-on-one care tailored to meet the needs of each individual. It could be medical or non-medical.

Why do I need Home care?
Home care is needed when an individual can no longer perform one or more of the following tasks; bathing, meal preparation, transporting oneself for appointments/errands, taking medications, light house work, or compromised safety.

What is Live-In Care Giving?
Live in is when a care giver stays in the home of the care recipient, it usually goes by the day. The caregiver lives in for a certain number of days, and gets relief for days off. The care giver is not working around the clock, they sleep, but they are at the home to meet the daily needs of the individual.

Does my health insurance/Medicare/medical pay for in-home care services?
No, some health insurance benefits may include in-home care services. It is better you check with your provider.

Who pays for the services?
Individuals, Long Term Care Insurance, Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, and some government senior assisted programs. (Check with your local Area Agency on Ageing for qualification)

Do I have to have a caregiver even when I am getting better?
No, we re-assess your care, and if you are physically able to manage your daily tasks safely and adequately, you may need little or no help.

Do I get the same caregiver every day?
Yes, except in emergencies, if the caregiver cannot be at your house, we will ask your permission for a fill in.

Are you available after hours and holidays?
Yes, there is always a care manager that is available to respond to your needs after hours.

Is there a contract?
Yes, we do have an agreement that explains our services, mode of payment, and also hours of service. It also permits the agency/caregiver to come to your house and provide services to you.

What if I do not like the caregiver?
Our goal is to be as compatible as possible for the caregiver and the care recipient. If the assigned caregiver is not suitable, you are guaranteed a different caregiver.

Do I feed the live-In caregiver?
Yes, the caregiver eats whatever you have at home, but they are welcomed to bring their favorites food if they wish to.

What type of screening do you do for your caregiver?
We do a nation wide criminal background check, the references are also verified before placing them on our agency.
